Scientific assistant at Fraunhofer IZM since 2000. He holds a diploma in environmental engineering and conducts research projects in the fields of ecological and economical optimization or electronics related production processes. His expertise comprises life cycle assessment and eco-design methods. He is responsible for educational and awareness raising projects on international level.

Christoph Herrmann is member of board of the Institute of Machine Tools and Production Technology (IWF) and head of the research group Product- and Life-Cycle Management at the Technische Universität Braunschweig. His research fields are Life Cycle Management, Life Cycle Strategy, Life Cycle Design, Sustainable Production and Closed-Loop Supply Chain Management.

Tobias Luger has a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Technische Universität Braunschweig. Since May 2004 he is research engineer at the Institute of Machine Tools and Production Technology (IWF) in the research group Product- and Life-Cycle Management. His major field of research comprises recycling and disassembly process planning and closed-loop supply chain management.

Widmer, Rolf

MSc in electrical engineering and MBA for development co-operation. Recently he joined the Technology and Society Lab at EMPA (Switzerland), a research institution belonging to the ETH domain. Project Manager Knowledge Partnerships in e-waste Recycling, which started in 2003. Co-founder of the entec ag, a Swiss company specialized in decentralized hydro power for rural energy supply. He is the author of several publications in this field.
