Since January 2010 Head of the United Nations University Institute for Sustainability & Peace (UNU-ISP) Operating Unit SCYCLE. From 1999 till 2009 he served as Head of the European Focal Point of United Nations University's Zero Emissions Forum in Bonn (Germany). He was Secretary of the Alliance for Global Eco-Structuring (AGES) and is a Political and Social Scientist by education.

Sunghee Choi holds a BA in Political Science and Diplomacy from Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea. As a Programme Assistant at UNU-ISP SCYCLE, Sunghee will provide administrative and organizational support to StEP. Prior to joining UNU, Sunghee worked as a volunteer interpreter at UNESCO for the CCAP in Korea and also as a Sale/Marketing Specialist at LG Electronics and LG Display in Germany.

Wesley Crock holds a BA in Humanities and Linguistics from Ohio State University and has been working with United Nations University since 2008. Prior to joining UNU, Wesley was an intern at the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Headquarters in Germany where he assisted in the inception and creation of an organizational guide to optimize event management among the 170 national paralympic committees.

Otmar Deubzer holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from the Berlin Institute of Technology, and a PhD from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Otmar worked as guest researcher at the University of Tokyo in Japan from 1999 to 2001. From 2001 on, he has been affiliated with Fraunhofer IZM in Berlin, among others reviewing the exemptions from material bans in the End-of-Life Vehicles Directive and the RoHS Directive for the European Commission. Since 2008 Otmar holds a position as a guest professor for industrial sustainability at the Technical University of Cottbus in Germany and as scientific consultant to the United Nations University. His research and other activities focus on End-of-Life quality standards for e-waste and on international consulting on e-waste management.

Claudia Luepschen is a Research Associate at UNU-ISP SCYCLE. Prior to joining UNU, Claudia has worked for the German Ministry for Environment and Nature Protection, Agriculture and Consumer Protection Northrhine-Westphalia, where she has been an associate at the minister’s office.

Mechanical Engineering MSc and PhD in Management Economics and Industrial Engineer at Politecnico di Milano University (Italy). Prior to joining UNU, Federico has been researcher in the field of Management of WEEE at Politecnico Universitiy and consultant for Italian and International associations and enterprises. He is currently Operations Manager in Ecoped/Ridomus, WEEE take back Schemes in Italy.

Deepali Sinha Khetriwal is a Research Assistent to the StEP Secretariat seconded from the Swiss EMPA. She holds a Masters in Economics from the University of Pune, India, as well as an International Management MSc from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. She is currently a doctoral student, with her research focus on modelling e-waste management systems.
