- StEP re-assess three passages of the StEP White Paper "On the Revision of EU’s WEEE Directive – COM(2008)810 final"


In light of recent discussions on the WEEE Recast within the Solving the E-waste Problem (StEP) Initiative, the StEP Secretariat would like to inform that there are three passages in the StEP published White Paper On the Revision of EU’s WEEE Directive – COM(2008)810 final which are currently being internally re-discussed and hence re-evaluated.

The following three passages are currently being re-assessed:

1. 2.1 Scope: Page 7, Column 1, Paragraph 3; in relation to the classification of dual use products
2. 3 Collection Rate: Page 10, Column 2, Paragraph 3; in relation to the categorisation of the scope of the Directive
3. 9 Responsibilities: Page 19, Column 1, Paragraph 3: in relation to eco design provisions, EPR and the EuP Directive

Please note that upon internal consensus of these three passages, StEP Initiative will circulate its final conclusions.
