World Resources Forum (WRF) 2020: Call for Abstracts

The Step Inititiative - Always stay informed

This year’s World Resources Forum (WRF 2020) will take place in Accra (Ghana), June 23-25, 2020, and is hosted by the Ghana Ministry for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation. WRF 2020 will place a significant emphasis on the sustainable use of natural resources in West Africa and Africa at large. Discussions will revolve around three key topics, namely primary resources, secondary resources and circular economy. Day one will focus on fair resource extraction for a quality future, day two will highlight solutions to turn waste into resources for development and on day three, the goal is to make a case for circular resources.

The program will incorporate lively plenary sessions, as well as engaging workshops, youth sessions and scientific sessions dedicated to the theme. All the fruitful discussions and presentations will be complemented with a social program that includes live music, a gala dinner, apéro, amongst others.

The Call for Abstracts for the World Resources Forum (WRF) 2020 is open. The three main topics are:

  • Fair resource extraction for a quality future
  • Turning waste into resources for development
  • Making a case for circular resources

Deadline for submissions is February 15, 2020.
